British metalcore crew Architects are hot on his heels, though
Aussie electronic whiz Flume has taken out the top spot on this week's ARIA Australian Top 100 Albums chart with his acclaimed new full-length Skin, pipping to the post UK-bred metalcore outfit Architects, who 'settle' for #2 on debut with All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us.
The top five are rounded out by incumbent entries in Beyonce's Lemonade, down a spot to #3; Adele's 25, up a spot to #4; and Keith Urban's ripcord, down two places to #5.
It's a busy week for new faces, notably within the top 20 — Welsh indie outfit Catfish & The Bottlemen join the ranks at #6 with The Ride, a couple of places ahead of Fifth Harmony, whose 7/27 steps out at #8. Local hip hopper Rates comes out of nowhere with Untold to grab #14, while national icons The Wiggles see their new Best Of waking up at #16. Goth-metal mainstays Lacuna Coil skate in at #19 with Delirium, one spot ahead of veteran outfit The Monkees, whose newly released Good Times! nabs the top-bracket cut-off at #20.
Honourable mentions go to both Dierks Bentley's Black and Winterbourne's Pendulum, which enter at #21 and #23 respectively. It's quite a stretch before another debut makes the list — Beth Orton breaks the drought with Kidsticks at #47, while Band Of Skulls see By Default enter at #54, and post-hardcore legends Thrice take #57 with To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere.

There are far fewer debutantes on the Singles chart, though Flume once again is the highest new entrant of the week with Lose It, ft. Vic Mensa, at #63, two spots ahead of the next-highest debut (#65), which goes to Flume again for Take A Chance, ft. Little Dragon. Fifth Harmony are just behind, with All In My Head (Flex), ft. Fetty Wap, making its entry at #66.
Thus, the top end is filled out with familiar faces, albeit slightly shuffled after last week's results; Calvin Harris' This Is What You Came For, ft. Rihanna, and Drake's One Dance, ft. Wizkid & Kyla, switch seats to take #1 and #2 respectively, as do the new #3, Just Like Fire by Pink, and #4, Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop The Feeling!. No prizes for guessing who rounds out the top five, though — yup, it's Flume again, with Say It ft. Tove Lo bringing a nice little punctuation point to his hugely successful week.
Finally, of international note this week is the US chart impact of local outfit Sick Puppies, who have actually enjoyed quite a bit of chart success Stateside over the past few years; their new full-length, Fury, has also cracked the Billboard Top 200 with a #92 debut.
