Sam Shepherd, better known as Floating Points has today revealed his newest single Grammar.

The track follows a huge leg of Australian tour dates, performing headline nights in major cities, as well as featuring as a headline slot at the acclaimed Pitch Music & Arts.

The single is one of the first offerings from the artist since his fan adored album Promises which was composed by Shepherd and recorded alongside Pharoah Sanders & the London Symphony Orchestra. The album topped end of year lists globally, with the body of work solidifying Shepherd as one of dance musics most valuable minds.

Grammar continues his incredible and unpredictable run of electronic music, continuing his distinct, mind-bending sonic ethos. The single is a club tool with production glitz rarely achieved in the contemporary electronic dance world. It opens with a pulsating kick, and slowly becomes surrounded by off kilter percussion. As the beat develops to full force, rave influenced synths add a distinct layer of sonic depth to the track.

Across its 7 minute run time, every layer that is added is necessary and meticulously curated.

It was also recently announced that Floating Points will be providing an exclusive soundtrack to long-term collaborators Hamill Industries' installation 'Vortex' as part of London's 180 Strand's Future Shock exhibition.
