The 25th Anniversary Edition of Brian Wilson: Live at the Roxy Theatre will be released on Friday, 7 October, and marks the first official posthumous release since Wilson’s passing in June.

Live at the Roxy Theatre was initially issued in 2000 as Wilson’s first-ever solo live album. The recordings were captured across two sold-out nights at West Hollywood’s Roxy Theatre in April 2000.

During the concerts, he performed with a ten-piece band and brought out The Beach Boys classics such as California Girls, Surfer Girl, I Get Around, and Good Vibrations, as well as later numbers, The First Time and This Isn’t Love.

The historic live album has been expanded and, as of next month, will be available on vinyl for the first time as a 3LP box set, alongside a 2CD set and digital edition.

In addition to its original tracklist, the 25th Anniversary Edition will feature freshly unearthed performances and on-tour recordings from 2000 to 2009, produced by Wilson’s longtime engineer, Mark Linett, and Oglio Records founder, Carl Caprioglio.

The collection also arrives with new liner notes by David Leaf, which contextualise the shows as part of Wilson’s second musical act, which contained Pet Sounds Live, SMiLE, That Lucky Old Sun, and more.

Oglio Records’ Carl Caprioglio said of the release, “With Brian’s passing this year, this edition isn’t just a reissue—it’s a heartfelt tribute to his artistry, his kindness, and the timeless music he shared with us.”

David Leaf added, “Those nights on the Sunset Strip turned out to be the beginning of Brian’s great second act… Looking back now, it’s clear: the Roxy was where Brian’s rebirth as a performer truly came alive.”
