It's official.
Just over a month after it wrapped its inaugural event, it has been announced that Sydney boutique festival Electric Gardens will indeed make a return in 2017.
In an exclusive comment given to theMusic today, festival director Damian Gelle confirmed the news.
"This year’s Electric Gardens Festival absolutely exceeded our expectations in every way so we’re thrilled to announce we’ll be back in 2017," Gelle said.
"Massive thanks to the festival patrons that attended and trusted in us to deliver this very first year and thanks to the hundreds of contractors and workers that helped produce such an incredible day in Sydney’s Centennial Park."

Fellow director Anton Marmot described this year's event as "the biggest challenge" of his career.
"We were determined to deliver a truly unique festival experience to Australia so every aspect of the festival from the line up to the layout was pored over in excruciating detail," he said.
"Every single person who bought a ticket and came along, helped create a vibe on the day that I can honestly say surpassed our wildest expectations. To be able to put on an event of this calibre in my own backyard after putting on so many events abroad is one of my proudest moments and I can’t wait to be back and do it bigger and better in 2017."
This year's event was headlined by veteran dance icon Fatboy Slim, while other acts on the bill included Erick Morillo, Dubfire, Norman Jay Mbe and more.
