'Some aspects of their shows are obviously exaggerated for comedy effect.'
The promoter for the Australian Jackass tour has hit back at complaints made on the 2016 run, where the US pranksters were accused of being misogynistic, greatly offensive and unorganised.
This week a local promoter slammed the show he saw in October (fronted by Jason 'Wee Man' Acuna, Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy and Dave England) as "an hour of blurry speech" and "forgotten lines" and warned others off purchasing tickets to the new tour.
However, Stage Addiction has since hit back at the allegations in a statement exclusively given to The Music.
"While we understand that the Jackass comedy style and show may not to everyone's liking or taste, on the whole, fans praised and enjoyed their previous tour," the statement reads.

"Some aspects of their shows however, are obviously exaggerated for comedy effect.
"The guys of Jackass have been more than excited for a second tour due to the massive success of their first tour from late last year. The guys are here to have fun, make people laugh and enjoy Australia while meeting their fans.
"We hope this one negative review does not discourage fans from attending and enjoying their shows."
The Music WA editor, Dan Cribb, also criticised the previous tour and claimed that not only did the group try and peer pressure female fans into flashing the audience, but that England also defecated into a towel live on stage and later threw it into the audience.
The Filthy Seppo Tour kicks off in Coffs Harbour tonight.
