Dua Lipa Jumps To #1 On Aussie Charts With 'Future Nostalgia'

Slow and steady wins the race, with Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia moving up to #1 on the ARIA Albums chart this week.

The English singer-songwriter went up against local pop rockers 5 Seconds Of Summer last week - who ultimately debuted at #1 - but after another solid week she has climbed from #2 to the top spot.

Also making a comeback is the live compilation CD from February’s Fire Fight Australia bushfire relief concert, which jumps to #2 from fourth place, while local rockers Dream On Dreamer claim the week’s highest local debut with their farewell album What If I Told You It Doesn't Get Better (The Music’s Album Of The Week) landing at #29.

Other Albums chart debuts come from Nightwish’s Human. :II: Nature. (#7), Tory Lanez’s new mixtape, The New Toronto 3 (#10), The StrokesThe New Abnormal (#21) and Joe Satriani’s Shapeshifting (#28).

Over on the Singles chart, The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights continues to dominate, jumping back to #1 (thanks to the recent TikTok challenge involving the song), while JP Saxe and Julia MichaelsIf The World Was Ending (#34) and S1mba and DTG’s Rover (#50) both debut.
