It seems that Australian fans are keen to see Deftones return to our shores in 2026, with an additional date added to their tour due to extraordinary demand.
Deftones will return to Australia for their first run of headline shows in nearly a decade in May 2026, where they’ll be joined by fellow genre-defying artists Interpol and Ecca Vandal. The shows are taking place in arenas, and three dates have already sold out.
Overwhelming demand for tickets has led to a second and final date at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Thursday, 7 May. It’s the last show to be added to the Australia and New Zealand tour.
The new show has been added, as Deftones have sold out shows in Brisbane (Wednesday, 6 May), Melbourne (Saturday, 9 May), and Auckland (Wednesday, 13 May). In Melbourne and Sydney, the band are already headlining two nights at large arena venues.
With the new date added, the tour dates are as follows: the fun begins at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, 2 May, and Sunday, 3 May. The tour continues at Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, 6 May, and Thursday, 7 May, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Saturday, 9 May, and Sunday, 10 May, and concludes at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Wednesday, 13 May.
Tickets to the second Brisbane show will go on sale today at 11 am local time. For more ticketing information, head to the Live Nation Australia website.

Deftones’ forthcoming shows will mark their first time in Australia since they served as a top-level act at the 2022 Good Things Festival, appearing on a bill alongside Bring Me The Horizon, NOFX, and more. These dates will be the band’s first headline tour since 2016, when they toured in support of their Gore album.
Since then, they’ve released two more albums: 2020’s Ohms and private music, released earlier this year, which reached the top ten globally and became the group’s best-charting release to date.
Having first risen to fame in the mid-’90s, Deftones’ legacy as one of the most prominent alternative metal groups in music history has been followed by a widespread resurgence in recent years, with an influx of younger fans discovering the iconic band and reigniting an appetite for their mesmerising riffs, incendiary compositions, and the dynamic vocals from Chino Moreno.
