“I know I have a tendency to go missing but I’m back now.”

More Daniel Johns More Daniel Johns

After teasing a big announcement last week, Daniel Johns has lived up to the hype, today confirming he’ll be releasing an album next year.

In a lengthy statement, the Silverchair legend confirmed that FutureNever would arrive on April 1 via his own label in a global deal with BMG.

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait until release day to hear the new music, with Johns stating he “won’t be leading in with singles, the album is designed to be enjoyed as an album”.

In describing what fans can expect, Johns noted that “FutureNever is an eclectic mix of music that I’ve made over the last couple of years”.

It’s also been announced that FutureNever will feature a number of special guests who will be revealed in the lead up to its release.

Pre-orders of the album and other new merch are now available via FutureNever.art, and those who do pre-order the album will receive a new version of Silverchair’s After All These Years.
