“BIGSOUND 2020 has hyper-served our industry in a unique way as we navigated a very different year."

The team over at BIGSOUND have crunched the numbers and revealed the figures behind the annual conference's first-ever virtual event.

Taking place last week with a huge line-up of speakers that boasted Tom Morello, Tones & I, Kev Carmody and more, the free online program racked up over 30,000 streams.

The two-day event, which featured 143 speakers and artists across panels, workshops and performances, played out to over 6,100 delegates from over 30 different countries.

“BIGSOUND 2020 has hyper-served our industry in a unique way as we navigated a very different year,” QMusic CEO Angela Samut said

“While COVID-19 has been the great disrupter, it has brought with it opportunities with every challenge.

“We look forward to BIGSOUND 2021 returning to our beloved Fortitude Valley live music precinct where we can engage with one another and discover tomorrow’s great new artists live.

“We are grateful that we were able to use the hand we’ve been dealt this year to welcome so many more people into the BIGSOUND family and that we have been able to provide a program that educates, inspires and gives a sense of community when it’s been needed most.”

Delegates will be able to stream content from BIGSOUND 2020 for the next six months for free, and if you missed out on the virtual conference, it’s not too late to register and access panels, live performances and more.
