Chocolate Starfish ProfileChocolate Starfish are gearing up for a massive tour next year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell, the highest-selling album in Australia.
Reviving their Bat Out of Hell show, Chocolate Starfish will present a reimagined version of Meat Loaf’s classic album. The show returns by popular demand, with the Aussie rockers playing ten shows across the country, with more dates to come.
The tour begins with a one-off date at Toronto Hotel, NSW on Saturday, 12 December. 2027 is the big year, however, with the shows kicking off at Thirroul’s Anita’s Theatre on Friday, 12 March.
From there, the band head to Narooma’s Tilba Valley Winery on Saturday, 13 March, the Bellarine Estate on Saturday, 20 March, Sydney’s State Theatre on Saturday, 1 May, Gold Coast’s Miami Marketta on Friday, 28 May, Brisbane’s Eatons Hill on Saturday, 29 May, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Saturday, 5 June, Perth’s Crown Theatre on Saturday, 26 June, and Penrith’s Evan Theatre on Friday, 2 July.

“It’s been a few years since we toured our Bat Out of Hell show. Our fans have spoken, and we’re bringing it back with a fresh take for the 50th anniversary of the album,” said Chocolate Starfish singer Adam Thompson.
He continued, “It’s wild to think that one in 15 people in Australia own the Bat Out of Hell album. There’s a lot of love out there for the classic original, and we’ll honour and celebrate that on tour next year.”
Beyond the album’s extraordinary commercial success, however, Thompson has a personal connection to the record, which offered an escape from his childhood in regional Australia with few musical influences.
“The songs and Meat Loaf’s voice transported me out of that country isolation and into a fantasy world,” he explained. “It’s shaped the theatrical and dynamic way I looked at songwriting and performance ever since.”
