“She is absolutely devastated."

Aussie collective 30/70 have announced their withdrawal from Melbourne Jazz Festival tonight due to a COVID diagnosis within the group.

The outfit announced via Facebook that vocalist Allysha Joy had contracted COVID.

“She is absolutely devastated that she won’t be able to perform,” 30/70 said.

“Even the slightest of giggles sends her into a longwinded coughing attack, so singing is absolutely off the cards!”

Melbourne Jazz Festival added: "Due to circumstances beyond our and the artists’ control, 30/70 will not be appearing as planned on Friday night. Tamil Rogeon will instead be joined in this exciting double bill by the JK Group, a powerhouse nu-jazz band that sits at the crossover of raw, live jazz and electronic/dance production."

30/70’s next show is scheduled for later this month on December 18 at Howler in Melbourne.
