Sydney rock band Melrose Avenue have signed to Los Angeles-based record label Hopeless Records.
They join a roster that includes All Time Low, Avenged Sevenfold, New Found Glory, PVRIS, Sum 41, The Used, and more, as well as fellow Aussies Stand Atlantic, Trophy Eyes, and Trophy Eyes singer John Floreani.
Described as a “pop-metalcore” band known for their pop-goes-punk-style cover videos and original music, Melrose Avenue was formed by singer Vlado Saric and guitarist Shawn Mayer. They draw inspiration from artists including Bring Me The Horizon, Dayseeker, Beartooth, and A Day To Remember.

The band said of joining Hopeless Records, “We are so stoked to say we are now part of the Hopeless family. We grew up listening to Hopeless bands and to now say we are one of them is seriously unbelievable!
“We also want to say a massive thank you to our incredible fans who helped us get to this place. You guys are awesome, and we can’t wait for you to hear what is coming next.”
In a social media post, Hopeless Records welcomed Melrose Avenue to the family.
The band’s signing to Hopeless comes as the band teases a “plethora” of new music on the horizon, with a press release describing it as “their heaviest sound yet.”
This week, Melrose Avenue released a remix of their song Fool And The Beggar via Hopeless Records, adding that the remixed version is “bigger, louder and more bad ass than ever!” It also marks their first release through the international label.
Melrose Avenue have been in the US for the nostalgic pop-punk/emo festival When We Were Young, which is based in Las Vegas.
