"I am immensely proud of the past five years. Proud that I did it as a solo female on a commercial radio network that allowed me to champion music above celebrity and gossip. Proud that we celebrated Australian music."
Longtime 2Day FM host Ash London has announced today she'll be wrapping up her popular drive-time program Ash London Live at the beginning of next month.
Announcing the news on the program yesterday, London also shared the update to her Instagram account, captioning a video of some favourite hosting moments with a heartfelt message to fans.
The presenter, who is currently pregnant with her first child, said she is ready for another young and excited personality to take up the post.
"At the end of 2020 I made a big decision about the future of Ash London Live. A month later two glorious lines on a pregnancy test confirmed that my decision was the right one, and it was time to close this incredible chapter," she wrote on social media.
"It’s time to bring my next baby into the world - and in doing that it’s time to make way for someone else to take up the mantle and make their dreams come true on night radio.
"I am immensely proud of the past five years. Proud that I did it as a solo female on a commercial radio network that allowed me to champion music above celebrity and gossip. Proud that we celebrated Australian music. Proud that I got to do it with a team built on respect and integrity."

London's former breakfast show co-hosts Grant Denyer and Ed Kavalee both sent well-wishes to the presenter online.
Kavalee posted, "You’re a legend. Fantastic broadcaster and joy to work with," while Denyer shared, "This is monumental. From the moment I heard you, you were different to anything I’d heard before. Such a great listen, so fun, so kind, so relaxed and so talented. The end of a beautiful era. Be proud of your incredible achievements. You’re truely special. The next bit is even better."
London will broadcast her final episode on 3 September, with 2Day FM expected to announce her replacement later this year.
