Aussie heavyweight Jessica Mauboy and fast up-and-comer Tones & I have snapped an over-15 year drought on the ARIA charts this week.

With Mauboy's Hilda debuting at #1 on the Albums chart and Tones & I's Dance Monkey holding top spot on the Singles chart for the 13th-straight week, it marks the first time that solo female Australian acts have topped both lists since 2004.

The day was 9 August 2004 when Paulini's debut album One Determined Heart took out #1 on the Albums chart and Missy Higgins' hit track, Scar, reigned on the Singles chart.

Mauboy recently stopped by The Green Room With Neil Griffiths podcast to chat about her new record; check it out below.

Other album debuts this week include triple j's Like A Version Vol 15 (#6), Alter Bridge's Walk The Sky (#7), Horrorshow's New Normal (#9), Foals' Everything Not Saved Will be Lost Part 2 (#10), Christie Lamb's Broken Lines (#15),  James Arthur's You (#23), Bad//Dreems' Doomsday Ballet (#38), Ali Barter's Hello, I'm Doing My Best (#53) and Jimmy Eat World's Surviving (#56).
