Amyl And The Sniffers have scored their first-ever nomination for the Grammy Awards, joining the illustrious company of Tame Impala, who receive their sixth nod.
With U Should Not Be Doing That, Amyl And The Sniffers were nominated in the stacked Best Rock Performance category.
They join Linkin Park (The Emptiness Machine), Turnstile (NEVER ENOUGH), Paramore’s Hayley Williams (Mirtazapine), and Yungblud for his Ozzy Osbourne tribute, Changes, recorded live from Villa Park for Black Sabbath’s Back To The Beginning farewell concert. For that performance, Yungblud was accompanied by rockers Nuno Bettencourt, Frank Bello, Adam Wakeman and II.
Meanwhile, Tame Impala have received their second nod in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category—at this year’s Grammy Awards, Kevin Parker took home his first Grammy following Justice’s win in the category for Neverender, featuring Tame Impala.
This year’s Best Dance/Electronic Recording nominees also include Disclosure & Anderson .Paak (No Cap), Fred again.., Skepta & PlagueBoyMax (Victory Lap), Kaytranada (Space Invader), and Skrillex (Voltage).

In addition to the aforementioned Australian artists, the world-dominating RÜFÜS DU SOL producer Cassian Stewart-Kasimba have scored a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album for their latest release, Inhale / Exhale.
They share the category with FKA twigs, Fred again.., Skrillex, and PinkPantheress. Meanwhile, Australian producer GEM Auset was nominated in the Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album category for her album, According To The Moon.
Of course, it isn’t just performing artists who are honoured with Grammy nominations and wins. Australian songwriters, who co-wrote and were sampled in international hits, made the cut.
Darvid Thor, Henry Jenkins and Hudson Whitlock’s song, The Hands Of Time, was sampled on Leon Thomas’s Feelings On Silent from the album Mutt, which has been nominated for Album of the Year. New Zealand’s Frano Huet has also scored a nomination via Kendrick Lamar, being a co-writer on the track Wacced out Murals, from the rapper’s nominated album, GNX.
William Benjamin received a nomination for co-writing Brandon Lake’s Hard Fought Hallelujah, which has been acknowledged in the Best Contemporary Christian Performance/Song category. Lastly, Sarah Aarons has been nominated for co-writing the track Dangerous from the film Sinners, which has been recognised in the Best Score Soundtrack Album for Visual Media category.
The nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards were announced this morning through a live stream on the official Grammys YouTube channel. Next year’s awards will be held on Sunday, 1 February, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and available to stream on Paramount+.
The 2026 Grammy Awards top nominees are Kendrick Lamar, who’s nominated for nine awards including the big ones: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Rap Album, followed by Lady Gaga, with seven nominations to her name including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album.
