Having released her first new music since 2018 this year, Amy Shark is ready to release her long-awaited second album.

On a new episode of The Green Room with Neil Griffiths podcast, the Aussie songwriter said fans can expect the new record to drop in 2021.

"I think it's safe to say next year," Shark told host Neil Griffiths.

"It looks promising. You don't have to wait too long."

The new album will be the follow-up to the Gold Coast artist's debut record, Love Monster, which hit #1 following its release back in July 2018 and won Album Of The Year at the ARIAs that November.

Shark has already shared two tracks from the forthcoming LP - Everybody Rise and C'mon featuring blink-182 drummer Travis Barker - and she's promised there's more good things to come.

"I don't want to say too much... there are some goodies left," Shark said.

As well as being nominated for three ARIA Awards, Shark is set to perform an intimate show in Sydney next month in support of the Great Southern Nights event. Check out theGuide for more details.
