There might be some hope left for Taylor Swift fans who couldn’t score tickets to her upcoming Eras Australian tour dates, as Frontier Touring and Ticketek have announced the release of extra tickets.
Due to never-ending demand, new tickets, including partially obstructed side views, will be sold from Friday, 10 November, at 10 am for Sydney and 4 pm for Melbourne. The prices will start at $79.90 and go up from there.
In addition to partially restricted seats, accessibility options for punters will be made available with this release of tickets. According to a press release, those who submitted an accessibility form request with Ticketek will be contacted on a first-come, first-served basis until allocations are exhausted – you won’t need to resubmit a form to Ticketek. Supply is limited, so these tickets won’t be guaranteed. You can buy tickets here.
Taylor Swift begins her Eras Australian tour on Friday, 16 February, playing three nights at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), followed by four nights at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, starting on Friday, 23 February 2024. She is poised to break records at both venues.
The Melbourne show on 18 February will mean that Swift is the first artist since Madonna in 1993 to achieve three sold-out nights at the 100,000-capacity stadium. In Sydney, on 26 February, the fourth show at the 83,000-capacity venue will be the first time an artist has performed four nights running. Swift will be joined by special guest Sabrina Carpenter on all dates.
In September, Accor Stadium and Ticketek assured fans that the venue hadn’t suddenly begun selling extra Taylor Swift tickets through its Accor Live Limitless program.

“ACCOR is not approved for this activity and have confirmed they will be removing this offer immediately,” a spokesperson for Frontier Touring said in a statement. “We remind fans that the only safe – and approved - avenue to secure tickets is through the official ticketing agency for the tour, Ticketek.”
A representative for Accor added in a statement to 9 Honey, “We [Accor Stadium] have not announced any new tickets, nor do we know of any new tickets being released.”
Swift recently released 1989 (Taylor’s Version), a release The Music reviewer Tione Zylstra called “the mature older sister to 1989 (stolen version). You can tell, simply through her vocals, how Swift has grown over the years, both in confidence and talent.”
October was a busy month for Swift, as her concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, landed in cinemas across the globe – including Australia – and broke box office records.
