Because there's only 8 sleeps 'til Christmas
There is a veeeery small sect of the population that actually enjoy Christmas carols. We're pretty sure it's because most shopping centres, workplaces and public places insist on ambushing our ears with either carols from like, 60 years ago, Michael Buble's countless Christmas ventures or Mariah Carey's 1994 hit All I Want For Christmas Is You.
Despite this, every year contemporary artists try their hand at the Christmas song game — sometimes to disastrous effect. This year, we decided to put together a list of 2015's not-so-horrible Christmas song attempts.

You'll recognise this if you've already parked your arse in front of the TV to watch Netflix's Sofia Coppolla-directed A Very Murray Christmas holiday special. A cover of The Beach Boys' 1979 song, the song also features the voices of Murray, Jason Schwartzman and New York Dolls' vocalist David Johansen.
A supergroup comprising of members of every 2000s alt-rock outfit you forgot about like Sugar Ray, Semisonic, Evanescence and Lifehouse, as well as songstresses Natasha Bedingfield and Christina Perri, this one's a little on the sappy side, hopefully with a dash of warm-fuzzies though. It gets fun around 1:45.
The Vegas natives have released a country-infused Christmas song that has the perfect barren video to match the arid landscape they grew up in. Dirt-covered faces, a seedy-looking Santa and teepees, the track features Ryan Pardey and actor Richard Dreyfuss and is the third installment in a Christmas-themed storyline (also check out Don't Shoot Me Santa and I Feel It In My Bones).
Canadian pop export Carly Rae Jepsen has gone from really, really, really liking you to being a bit miffed about you stealing her heart at Christmas.
Arguably the queen of non-ironic Christmas singles, Kylie's home video-esque hipster Christmas is a perfect little package of synth pop. If only real Christmas celebrations were this chic.
A little different from the rest in this list, this one is genius and we're not sure why no one's thought to rock up the Home Alone theme before. We reckon Kevin McAllister would've been less scared at home if he had this to jam on Buzz's speakers. Woof.
