Finally Returning To Australia, Faithless Are Paying Homage To The Beloved Maxi Jazz While Looking To The Future

$20,000 Raised In 24 Hours As Fans Dig Deep For The Growl Bassist

The money will help pay for surgery and rehabilitation.

If there is to be any good news whatsoever to come from the horrible attack on Perth musician Marc Earley while he was on the road with his band The Growl, playing the St Jerome's Laneway Festival, then sure this is it.

Fans have dug deep to support Earley and raised over $20,000 in just 24 hours, ensuring that the musician will be given some relief when it comes to medical bills and recovery time.

The attack, which was reported yesterday, was allegedly unprovoked and left Earley requiring emergency surgery. As a working musician, he does not have health or income insurance and the injury will impact upon his livelihood for some time.

You can still donate to his cause here.

The Growl will continue playing the remaining Laneway dates, with Pond's Nick Allbrook to replace Earley.
