GWAR frontman’s funeral crashed, Randy Blythe reflects
Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe has reflected on the recent funeral of GWAR frontman Dave Brockie (Oderus Urungus), which included an uninvited guest disrupting the service.
Blythe spoke at the funeral and posted a lengthy update via Instagram observing the events of the day.
It's time to get back to work. I have been a mess this past week, unable to write on my book much, but thankfully I went to Dave Brockie's memorial April Fool's day. I was one of 3 people who were not part of GWAR who spoke- this was a gift & an honor for me.
When someone you love dies, the very absence of that person grows into something huge & unmanageable unless you let it out somehow. This is the nature of grief, & this is what mourning with you community is for- I haven't been around my people enough lately.
