In 2026, triple j is adding two brand-new, totally different shows to its programming roster.

One of the shows was first announced by Abby & Tyrone during ABC’s recent 2026 Showcase. Tom Forrest, best known as Outback Tom, will join the triple j team with a show highlighting one of the fastest-growing popular genres in Australia: country music. The show will be called Country Club.

Of course, Forrest is no stranger to triple j listeners. He’s guest-hosted Blak Out and Drive, and previously held roles with triple j Unearthed.

Forrest is a proud First Nations man and will bring punters the best in country music, broadcasting from outback Australia in the Kimberley region of WA. Across his weekly show, he’ll highlight local and international country artists, sharing their stories with keen country fans.

Country Club will air on Sundays in 2026 from 6 pm on triple j, simultaneously broadcasting on ABC Country, and can be played anytime on the triple j app.

In addition to Country Club, triple j will welcome another new show, Doof, in 2026.

Home to Australia’s best electronic music, DJs and producers, the show will be hosted by DJ, 2025 ARIA Award Red Carpet Host and triple j presenter Latifa Tee.

Tee will spotlight the homegrown electronic music scene and champion the local artists making waves. She’ll pull tracks from massive global names and Unearthed, spin fresh tracks and fan favourites, plus chat with artists and offer deep dives into electronic tracks.

Doof will begin in 2026, airing on Friday nights from 10 pm to 1 am, and can be heard anytime on the triple j app.

With the new shows will come familiarity. In 2026, triple j will welcome back its entire weekday and weekend crew. Punters will be able to start their days with Concetta & Luka on Breakfast, followed by hanging out with Lucy Smith on Mornings, Dave Woodhead on Lunch, triple j Drive with Abby & Tyrone, Hack with Dave Marchese, another hour of Drive, and Anika Luna sending things off on Home & Hosed from 7 pm to 9 pm.

On Weekends, Jordan Barr will get an extra hour of sleep, from 7 am to 11 am. Frankie Rowsthorn continues proceedings from 11 am to 2 pm, followed by Phil Fresh at 2 pm. The House Party, Blak Out, and Mix Up shows will return to their regular times, and Live At The Wireless will move to 7 pm on Sundays, followed by Perfect Sunday at 8 pm and The Hook Up from 9 pm.
