The Rolling Stone Australia/New Zealand team has confirmed that it’s updating its publishing models by “moving away from” fixed quarterly issues.
In an email sent to subscribers seen by The Music, the move away from fixed quarterly issues was described as one to “better reflect our long-term vision.”
Subscribers will still receive four physical editions of the magazine in a year, but they’ll be delivered to homes “on a more flexible timeline” rather than strictly arriving every three months.
Readers who would like a refund for the “unused portion” of their subscriptions can access them by Wednesday, 27 August.
The notice from Vinyl Media reads:
We’re evolving the publishing model for Rolling Stone AU/NZ to better reflect our long-term vision. As part of this, we're moving away from a fixed quarterly cadence to a release schedule that better aligns with major cultural moments.
You’ll still receive all four issues included in your current subscription, they’ll just be delivered on a more flexible timeline rather than strictly every three months.
If you’re happy to continue under this updated cadence, no action is needed.
But if you’d prefer to receive a refund for the unused portion of your subscription, we completely understand — hit the button below and follow the steps to confirm your cancellation by Wednesday, August 27th and we’ll arrange the refund.
Thanks for being part of the Rolling Stone community. We’ll be in touch again soon with more details on the next print issue.
