Hailing from New Zealand but based out of Melbourne, Ash Hills began her career in the Australian music scene as the Project Manager for the long-running Tram Sessions, complementing this role with time spent at independent music company 123 Agency as both a Project and Artist Manager.
After joining the UNIFIED team in 2017 as an assistant to CEO and Founder Jaddan Comerford, Hills has since vastly expanded her role, going from years spent as a Senior Artist Manager to the venerated position of General Manager of UNIFIED Artist Management AU/NZ.
Overseeing a team of 17 managers across the country, Hills is an undeniable powerhouse, with her work overseeing the direct management of globally successful artists such as Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers and Dan Sultan, while also serving as a Board Member for the Association of Artist Managers (AAM).

One need only look at the myriad successes of the artists Hills oversees to gain a sense of her impact on the Australian music scene. While Dan Sultan has continued to cement his place as one of Australia's most respected artists, thanks to international tours and ARIA, AIR, and NIMA Awards, Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers are shaping up to be one of the country's biggest musical exports.
Having gone from triple j favourites to winners of the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist at the 2024 ARIA Awards, the group have found themselves supporting grunge icons Pearl Jam in Australia and North America, with 2025's GLORY album already seeing next year shaping up to be their biggest yet.
Not only content with championing the profile of stellar artists on a local scale, Hills and her work within the wider UNIFIED Artist Management team is ensuring that Australian music is not just ready to take on the world, but prepared to thrive. Hills also won the 2025 Lighthouse Award from APRA AMCOS.
Ash Hills directly manages some fantastic acts, but it's her role overseeing Unified’s enviable roster of seventeen managers that shows the real power. Her ability to inspire, mentor, and create professional development opportunities for a wide range of artist managers, who in turn impact the success of so many of Australia’s most exciting artists, is a responsibility she relishes.
Working closely with UNIFIED’s Jaddan Comerford and Rachael Tulloch, Hills is part of an enviable brain trust, proving that mentorship and business development need not be simply philanthropic but can work as a business model for so many managers. Hills is the personification of a new and successful Australian music industry culture.
