This week My Chérie, Ruby Dattner and NoTurns are stopping by for a show.

My Chérie is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer known for emotionally charged live performances that balance intimacy with explosive energy. A queer, neurodivergent and culturally diverse artist — raised in South Africa and now based on Kaurna Land (Adelaide) — she writes with honesty about identity, heartbreak and faith, creating shows that offer both catharsis and connection. First gaining attention as a one-woman live-looping artist, she won Best Live Act (SA) at the National Live Music Awards. Now performing with her full band, My Chérie delivers a genre-blurring mix of alt-pop, indie rock and folk textures, drawing comparisons to Kate Bush, Wolf Alice, Florence and The Machine and Soccer Mommy. In the past year, she has shared stages with Lenny Kravitz, Guy Sebastian, Jet, The Beautiful Girls, Mia Wray and Skunkhour, and is set to appear at WOMADelaide in March. Her latest EP Life is Short & Life is Long has received national attention, including airplay on triple j and rotation on triple j Unearthed.

Ruby Dattner is a singer-songwriter based in Naarm, living on Wurundjeri land. She combines complex narratives into her folk sets; a blend of vulnerable lyrics, wacky guitar tunings and gorgeous harmonies are the foundation of her heart-wrenching, catchy songs. Her music will leave you crying and laughing. Ruby draws inspiration from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling and Angie McMahon.

NoTurns is a 5 piece eclectic indie rock outfit based in Naarm, known for their energetic and earnest live shows.

Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.

Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.
