Si Mullumby is one of the most influential didgeridoo players in the world today. His playing has inspired a generation of musicians all over the world. His band Wild Marmalade are the pioneers of the Didgeridoo and Drum sound that is now a global phenomena. Luckily, he lives down the road in Fremantle & this is his local haunt.
Si Mullumby brings together didgeridoo, drums, guitar, flute & voice. This is totally live & unstoppable dance music. No loops. No arrangements. Improvised co-created music direct from the core of his being.
Si’s energy is powerful yet light-hearted. His beats are heavy but uplifting. His didgeridoo playing is grounding yet transcendent.
This is more than music; this is an experience to be lived & indeed a great place to be.

More about Si Mullumby:
As a younger man, Si quit studying medicine at the University of Western Australia to hitch-hike into the Australian outback and be a didgeridoo player before he even knew how to play the instrument. Years later Si was the only non-indigenous didgeridoo player to be featured in the Sydney Olympics didgeridoo documentary, Yidaki. After this, he was invited to Arnhem Land by a high elder for personal teaching.
From these humble origins he has become one of the most influential contemporary didgeridoo players of our time. Si has toured the world for more than twenty years with his ground breaking band Wild Marmalade, the pioneers of the didgeridoo and drum sound. He has worked with Cirque du Soleil, played sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House and at one stage was signed to the UK’s leading management company. His music features on the Desert Dwellers album, Breath.
Si now resides in Fremantle, where he combines drums, percussive flamenco guitar and naked voice alongside this long history with Australia’s traditional instrument.
“A master of this beautiful instrument.” Ludovico Einaudi
“An astonishing solo player” Cirque du Soleil
Stoked to be playing on Noongar Boodja
