SPECIAL BENEFIT SHOW AT THE WHEATSHEAF HOTEL TO RAISE MONEY FOR TIMOR LESTE’S ALMA NUNS.
The event will feature The Wrong Road, Pelvis, students from St Ignatius College Adelaide (who have visited the Nuns facility in Dili) and MC Paulie Stewart (Painters and Dockers).
Stewart shares a close bond with Timor Leste as his oldest brother Tony was one of five journalists killed by invading Indonesians forces at Balibo in 1975
The ALMA Nuns, operate across Indonesia and Timor Leste to provide
schooling, a home and paths through life for disabled and abandoned
children, honouring and celebrating those children who are often left on the margins.
Top Australian entertainment troupe the Wiggles, also recognise the work of the ALMA Nuns and regularly donate generously to them.
The night will feature a special message from the Nuns to the crowd at The Wheatsheaf.
