"We once had someone call a venue really quite upset because we’d had been drinking on stage and we swore."

"We offer a new fast-paced energetic show that should get you moving."

Probably the act we're most excited about at Circo Festival.. ODESZA are two-piece production duo made up of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight, an enigmatic two-some who have been pouring out irresistible, sample-filled tracks for a few years now. Circo Festival (Perth, June 28) has recruited this duo to bust out the best they have in what will be their first ever shows in Australia. They're also playing a couple of sideshows with Kele (Bloc Party) and Hayden James (170 Russell June 25; Metro Theatre June 26), but before this all happens, Liam Apter got a hold of ODESZA's Clayton Knight to talk about what we can expect when they come over to Australia, how their set has changed over time and their upcoming album release.

We speak with Leigh Carmichael, a passionate Tasmanian and Creative Director of Dark Mofo, MONA’s winter festival..

Their debut album is out this week, and Liam Apter caught up with the guys whilst they were in Aus.. A GLASS ACT By Liam Apter  On their recent – and first ever – tour of Australia last month, I had the chance to sit down with two of the members of much-hyped UK act Glass Animals, whose singles Psylla and Gooey have been killing it on the nation’s youth radio broadcaster. What I found was a couple of young musicians, taking the growing hype towards their debut album release in their stride, already killing SXSW Festival and doing the same on their short trip to Australia… Click the album cover above to stream Zaba before its Friday 6 June release.

A night for the vinyl edz out there, featuring Touch Sensitive, John Wall and Ariane.. Sunday 8 June (Queen's Birthday long weekend for you east-coasters) sees some serious vinyl fanatics going for a dig through their (EPIC) crates for an all-vinyl assault on the Cliff Dive Bar. Sexy bass basher Touch Sensitive will be joined by John Wall and lady about town Ariane for a no-CDs, no-laptops, no USBs affair from 9pm til 3am. How deep will they be digging? Well we have it on good authority that Touch Sensitive's record collection rolls some 5000+ deep, while Fuzzy director Wall has a ridiculously large 20,000 he'll be flipping through. Expect plenty of late night grooves, from italo to funk, disco, balearic and late '90s/early '00s house and all that lies between. Free entry, long weekend Sunday and vinyl grooves - what's not to love? More info from the team at UNDRCRTL.
