Why should punters visit you? UBERfest always has a great atmosphere. It is an indie festival with loads of young exciting bands who are on the verge of making it. The energy generated is incredible and lasts all day.
What’s the history of the event? Bands kept emailing, asking for an independent festival. One event in Sydney Feb 2013 led to five cities, bi-yearly in 2015.
Any advice for first timers who want to visit the event? Some like to dress up for UBERfest, but basically just come with your ‘music ears’ to enjoy and appreciate lots of incredible bands.
Do you have any plans for the event in the future? We are currently negotiating with venues in Hobart, Canberra and Darwin, with a view to making UBERfest truly Australia wide in 2016. Bands will then be able to tour Australia, playing UBERfest in each and every capital city.
When and where for your next event? Railway Hotel, Fremantle hosts UBERfest on 29 Mar, from 12pm to 10pm.
