Steel beams launch into open warehouse spaces, soon to plummet as a measure of their weight conflicts with gravity; only to find a cushioned fall by the netting of meditative accents interwoven with harsh, accompanying beats. It's these strange, polished conglomerates that allow Corin Ileto to stand out in Australia's electronic music hub.
Having made her artistic talent known previously as the keyboardist of Rainbow Chan's live show, the Melbourne lady has exerted herself throughout 2016 with her active solo pursuit.
Catapulting herself onto national radio and blogs with 'CDA' from yesteryear's ode to water, the Wave Systems EP, to the eerie findings of the Accumulated Spaces EP, created collaboratively with fellow Melbourne producer Ju Ca, Corin (as she references her art) has since managed to write and release her latest embodiment, Virtuality; an industrial 7-track EP released through a label as equally on the rise - Wondercore Island.
Having performed at Bigsound, Volumes, Strawberry Fields, the inaugural BAD Festival, Paradise and Melbourne Music Week, as well as support Fatima Al Qadiri, Kllo, Retiree and Buoy, AS WELL AS play alongside Lossless for a co-headlining release launch, before sweeping in a huge remix of Seekae's 'Turbine Blue', this level of Corin's productivity is seemingly on a wave of consistency that should ride into 2017.

With one festival date already locked in for the New Year, catch Corin play at Good Manners and Wondercore Island's lovechild, Good Island, at the Bella Union in Melbourne on Saturday, 4th February.
