Finally Returning To Australia, Faithless Are Paying Homage To The Beloved Maxi Jazz While Looking To The Future

ALBUM PREMIERE: Chill Out With Albion Place's Debut Album 'Mascuzzi Jacuzzi'

It's like lying in a hammock on a hot summers day.

New Zealand dub roots quartet, Albion Place, have made their way across the ditch to deliver us their debut album Mascuzzi Jacuzzi, premiered exclusively on theMusic.com.au.

Here’s one for the easy listening set; from the moment you press play on this LP you’re swept away on a calming wave of the outfit's soulful, reggae-infused indie rock.

A decidedly live sound comes through the recording's laid-back vibes, something the vocalist Micah Davis-Rae says was completely intentional.

“After playing a shitload of shows this year, we realised that our live show was our best asset,” Davis-Rae said.

“Bottling this live sound was something we wanted to achieve with this album and I think we did that.”

At the heart of it all, Mascuzzi Jacuzzi, is a coming of age record with themes of youth, existentialism and love swirling around its soothing tunes.

To celebrate the release of the album, the group will be embarking on an extensive Australian tour this summer.
