Lido is bringing some Christmas cheer to Australia this December.. Gun Norwegian producer Lido is making his way to Australia for the first time in 2014 (well, he may have already been here under a certain half-shelled moniker previously), and we're beyond excited to have him play our Pilerats X-Mas party (get a full run-down HERE), in addition to the Future Classic x BBE Christmas Weekender. Those shows will see him joined by some serious forward-thinking producers like Sophie, QT, Nadus and HWLS (read an interview with HWLS HERE), and we were fortunate to get some time with him before he lands down under in a couple of weeks.

Bangers, Norway style.. You know you're being earmarked for hugeness when global dancefloor tastemaker Diplo invites you to do one of his BBC1Extra Diplo & Friends mixes. Cashmere Cat's bestie, Norwegian producer Lido, from the Pelican Fly record label (Richelle, Mr Tweeks) recently got on board and his 60 minute mix is devastatingly good. As well as a whole bunch of new Lido dubs, there's Lido's recent slow-burning remix of The Weeknd’s Often, a classic cut from Boyz II Men, a cover of Justin Timberlake's Cry Me A River, as well as Ariana Grande, Yung Lean, ZHU, and of course, Cashie. The clip for Cold draws some inspiration from the recent Warehouse Project Tour.. Following the horror-inspired visuals for the clip to I Want U, and our own video dude's effort on second single Lies, today sees the release of a new clip for Alison Wonderland's latest single and Lido colab - Cold. Taking place in a dark underground moshpit, it features everyone bar Alison stuck on loop, with director Prad Senanayake (The Presets, Aston Shuffle) drawing inspiration from one of Alison Wonderland's recent warehouse project shows. Senanayake was blown away by the intensity of energy that he saw and seeing the tiny figure of Alison being uniquely unaffected the mayhem of the crowd that surrounded/engulfed her.
