Tipping his hat to towns from Brisbane to Mildura, Jenkins woos the small but appreciative crowd, who have paid nothing to sit by the bar and listen to his songs.
It was the same voice throughout the entire set, for each and every tune, and by the end, despite the beautiful tone in songs like One Good Arm and My Dear Daughter, it all sounded sorta the same.
"It’s not until you get the title and you get the artwork and you get the disc and you slap them all together that you really know. I think there’s luck involved in the decision making process. And I thought that it all worked – I think that it all works well as an entity.”
“I’ve actually been aiming on the slow ones to end up being just me and a guitar. But then I get confused, or don’t have the songs to fit, and then ring the band.”
