As he hummed the melody to Retrograde, the audience let out a huge cheer which ended up looped in with the vocals, returning again and again throughout the song.

The audience seemed to feed off as well, becoming more and more responsive as the set progressed and even surpassing the band in volume a few times on Becoming A Jackal with their singing.

"I definitely wasn’t writing the track for commercial purposes or for anyone but myself, really."

As much as it would have been good to see them with a band behind, the laid-back vibe of their set was a great closer to another entertaining and varied Gignition performance.

The guys had the whole crowd going and by the time it came to a close there were a few members at the front of the pit looking particularly exhausted. Consider that a job well done.

"Like I was the first person on a US talk show but that’s mad specific. I haven’t done anything like Hilltop Hoods or Bliss N Eso have done before."

Nevertheless, Hills won over his audience and even received a standing ovation from the majority of the crowd as he left the stage.

Despite his relatively short set of an hour, Jefferies managed to fit in enough laughs to satisfy the rowdy audience and left the stage to a huge round of applause.

"I guess at the moment a lot of energy’s going into doing this tour and we’re heading back to Canada and we’re doing a bit of a US tour possibly at this stage."

"We played in Perth a couple of months ago at the Nannup Music Festival and people were so excited they started getting naked in the crowd, which was quite outrageous.”
