Andrew Mast, Journalist

Andrew Mast

Andrew Mast is the former Group Managing Editor of The Music, having worked in editorial positions across a variety of music and LGBTQI mastheads across the years, including Inpress, Zebra, Three, TRM, Brother Sister, Beat, Juke, Fashion Journal, and more.

A former scourge of community radio, Andrew has presented weekly shows on 3RRR, 3PBS, 3CR, and Kiss FM.

Switching to podcasting, Andrew produced the hit music podcast Rewind (featuring oral histories of classic Aus albums) and co-presented the flop review podcast Press Play. He still occasionally pops up on ABC Radio Melbourne.

Andrew has also contributed features and/or reviews for Rolling Stone, Time Off, Play, 3D World, Drum Media, Oyster and many more printed formats that no longer exist.

He was also a long-running club columnist for The Age’s EG and he may or may not have once hidden behind a pseudonym to write a gossip column for street press.
