Knievel, it’s good to have you back.

The ever-present harmonica, 12-bar blues pacing of many of the songs and smoky, late-night air around the whole thing makes these songs sound timeless.

Lonerism’s a cohesive body of work that’s gonna be hard to top. But, then again, so was Innerspeaker, which is what makes this album such a mammoth achievement.

Boogie! is an impressive collection documenting a vibrant period in our musical history that cared as little for commercial acceptance or success as the punks that superseded them in the late ‘70s.

All things considered, it’s a good album and starts off so well, it’s just a shame that it peters out toward the end.

Beecroft clearly has a thousand stories to tell. And shit, does he know how to tell ‘em. Get a double dose if you can.

It does take a little while to get accustomed to Greenway’s style and the conventions of the world he creates, but the set-ups you are given in the first half really pay off in the second.

By the play’s conclusion, the audience perhaps feel like they’ve developed friendships with these characters, too.
