Album Review: The Interrupters - The Interrupters

It’s the frontwoman’s biting calls to arms that are near addictive.

LA punks The Interrupters have kept fans dangling for some time in anticipation for their self-titled debut.

In pretty much all aspects, their patience has been rewarded. Aimee Allen keeps her lads whipped throughout this old school punk and playful ska album, winning everyone over immediately with her ballsy pout in opener, Take Back The Power, and keeping the rampant energy fuelled with racing lines in White Noise, sludgy grooves in Liberty and offbeat cheek in Family. Production-wise, the lines are punchy and clipped throughout, but it’s the frontwoman’s biting calls to arms that are near addictive.
