"'Precious Art' could easily be the pop punk contender of the year."

Rozwell Kid are back in a big way with their latest work, Precious Art. It's excited, slightly off kilter but ever endearing, and feels like this could be the album that will blow them up into the stratosphere.

There's a touch of rockabilly in Wendy's Trash Can and just the right amount of Weezer influence in the high-pitched, juxtaposed 'oooohs'. It'll make you nod your head along then all of a sudden realise that it's over - don't fret though, there's still an entire album to go.

They'll hit you hard, fast and come from out of left field with the guitar solo in Total Mess. Boomerang will see you coming back for more, as will Wish Man and Blow It.

MadTV and South By will lull you into a false sense of calm and serenity before launching into UHF On DVD, which has an oddly Australian influence; frontman Jordan Hudkins shares a story of quelling an anxiety attack with Weird Al's 1989 cult classic UHF and homemade tacos while on tour here last year.

Humorous and considered, Precious Art is the perfect follow up to 2014's Too Shabby. The production is clean and clear, and obviously very well thought out. Look out Rivers Cuomo and co, Rozwell Kid are coming for your crowds. Precious Art could easily be the pop punk contender of the year.
