‘I Stay Out Of It. I Cook’: Even After 13 Years Between Albums, Coming Up With A Karnivool Setlist Remains Quite The Feat

Album Review: PVRIS - All We Know Of Heaven All We Need Of Hell

"Frontwomen Lyndsey Gunnulfsen's expressive and powerful vocals are contrasted against deep dark beats and fast-paced melodies."

More PVRIS PVRIS

Four years on, goth-rock royalty PVRIS are back with All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell, and it was entirely worth the wait.

The album is so lyrically raw - "When did I get so pitiful? Just a god damned corpse in a centrefold" - and frontwomen Lyndsey Gunnulfsen's expressive and powerful vocals are contrasted against deep dark beats and fast-paced melodies. Executed with utmost perfection in songs such as What's Wrong and Walk Alone, the album marries the pain with the pleasure, so unlike slow sad songs, you're able to see some light in the dark within its catchy melodies.
