"Opener 'Cold And Alone' doesn't muck around, launching straight into those ferocious vocals and some epic shreds."

More Lavidius More Lavidius
There's something slap-in-the-face special about metal heads Lavidius.

The Brisbane five-piece have been kicking around for a few years but with each single or EP release, there's been more and more truly excellent standalone riff-work that harks back to the good ol' days of ball-busting metal. Enter their debut long-player Helisma; far out, for a relatively young band, these guys have some pretty slick skills. Opener Cold And Alone doesn't muck around, launching straight into those ferocious vocals and some epic shreds, Final Moments Rest eases into a short, sharp groove that spirals off into some neat noodles, and it's a gloriously bruising ride from there 'til album's end.
