Jodie J Hill is brilliant.
Brilliant comedian, brilliant performer and, judging by the content of this show, a brilliant human being. In Flirting With Danger, Hill recounts her tour of duty entertaining Australian and international troops in the Middle East. An hour of fearless jokes about the ins and outs (or lack thereof) of being a woman travelling with the army, this show is infused with compassion and an infectious and overwhelmingly positive spirit. It’s not just a string of jokes, but an hilarious yet genuinely touching account of one woman confronting global and familial conflict. And it’s brilliant.
