A chronicle of geographical and musical vagabondism in which he tries to find his place
The debut long-player from well travelled Brooklyn-based producer James Harmon is a chronicle of geographical and musical vagabondism in which he tries to find his place.
Thus, Somewheres opens with a hazy piano pulse, Below skirts classic Detroit techno and Reassuring sits in a cobblestoned French café curated by Étienne De Crécy. Happy rhythms clash with the sounds of lonely, dying fridges to evocative effect on Is It Me, but much of Tell Me I Belong seems incomplete, suggesting Harmon’s journey to find himself may take a few releases yet.
