A Living End-esque riff led into a very different tune that the crowd probably weren’t expecting but enjoyed nevertheless, while the energy-injected last song ended the trio’s non-stop, never quit set of punchy melodic punk.

Straight from a spot on the Southbound line-up, Mandurah four-piece Indigo kicked the night off in style with an intriguing brand of indie-rock. An almost unrecognisable, arguably better cover of A Flock Of Seagulls' I Ran (So Far Away) was the set's highlight.

Apache, who brought with them their own troop of loyal followers, were quick to follow. Harnessing a dash of New York garage-rock, overzealous melodic riffs and a diverse range of vocals from frontman Timothy Gordon, Apache got the blood pumping and feet tapping. Their songs floated between dark and intense rhythms to melodic beats.

Sydney's Fait Accompli ended the night with their distinct brand of louder than life punk. Surprisingly, drummer Skarlett Saramore made it to the stage after injuring her leg when she toppled over a drum kit at Ya Ya's a few nights before. She didn't slow down, though, and it was mind-blowing how fluid her performance was. The energy was bouncing from the stage as bass guitarist Bradley Fitter leaped around relentlessly.
