The high profile defection of breakfast radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie-O from 2Day FM to KIIS 106.5 has halved the audience of their former station, with Sydney's top FM station plummeting to the bottom of the pile – behind the likes of triple j, Triple M and Nova.

The first metro ratio ratings survey for 2014 have been released today under new provider GfK, who have taken over from Neilsen in 2014. While there may be some discrepancies in comparing the last ratings of 2013 which were compiled by Neilsen to today's first GfK offering, the big story is undoubtedly Kyle & Jackie-O's move, who have taken a six percent share of the breakfast audiences to KIIS – who have immediately become the top FM station in the market with 8.8 percent share.

Around the country triple j has mixed figures in their weekday audiences, but excelled in their weekend performances.
