There's A Stack Of New Aussie Music Hitting Triple J This Week

Here's everything you can expect to hear from today.

A slew of brand new tunes are taking over triple j this week - with a bunch of massive Aus tunes getting plenty of airtime.

The debut LP from New South Wales indie rocker Ruby Fields has nabbed itself this weeks feature album slot. Been Doin It For A Bit has shot onto the scene to mass critical acclaim, cementing Fields' place in the Aus music landscape.

Meanwhile, Drapht has picked up the spotlight position for his new release, Shadows And Shinings. The rapper premiered his song Hollywood Hills with The Music just last month, and said of the track: "I was staying on the base of the Hollywood Hills, and my friend who lived locally would tell me stories about coyotes taking small pets if they weren't kept inside at night - and then I would see them firsthand rummaging through bins in the neighbourhood."

Other local tunes hitting the station this week include Talk by Budjerah (featuring May-A), Somethinggreater by Parcels, Blood Rave by Triple One, Raspberries by Fractures (featuring Jade Alice), Apple Crumble by Lime Cordiale (featuring Idris Elba), Where Yuh From by Big Skeez & Gold Fang, Stir The Pot by Caroline & Claude, Jogging Shoes (The Rerun) by Lola Scott (featuring Evan Klar and Abby Bella May), Breathe by Blanke, and I Care About You by Zig Za - which featured in The Music's favourite songs of this last month.

Tracks joining the rotation from elsewhere in the world include U&ME by Alt-J, Altar by Kehlani, and Valentine by Snail Mail.
