Timmy Trumpet Tops Club Chart With Chardy

Local DJ/producers Timmy Trumpet and Chardy have combined forces to knock French club star Martin Solveig from number one.

More Timmy Trumpet Timmy Trumpet Profile

Sydney's Timmy Trumpet looks like scoring his biggest club hit to date as his track Sassafras takes over the top position of the ARIA Club Chart this week.

The swing-inspired house cut is a collaboration with Melbourne's Chardy and is out through local dance imprint Hussle.

Both artists have had ARIA Club Chart success previously, Trumpet going top five with Horny last year and Chardy making the top five in 2010 with his Sgt Slick collab Back On Black.

Together they have dislodged French producer Martin Solveig from the number one position he held for six weeks with The Night Out.

Chardy is also currently charting with his remixes of Tune In Tokyo's Ray Of Love (19) and I Am Sam's The Real Thing (44).

The fastest rising track in the chart this week is also from a local act, as Canberra's Peking Duk leap from 36 to 17 with I Like To Rap, featuring Panama Black.
