More The Preatures More The Preatures

Freshly minted triple j Feature Album titleholders The Preatures have announced that they are to embark on a national run of tour dates this November and December in support of their critically acclaimed debut full-length, Blue Planet Eyes.

The Is This How You Feel? and Better Than It Could Ever Be scribes will get proceedings under way at Canberra's ANU Bar on Thursday, November 13, and takes them all around the country over the following month or so — Adelaide (all ages), Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Brisbane, Maroochydore, and Sydney all get a look-in before The Preatures wrap the revelry left-coast way at Perth's The Capitol on Saturday, December 6.

Since Is This How You Feel?'s release last year — an inarguably breakthrough track that saw the band shore up international deals with labels in the US, UK, France and Germany — the Sydney-bred quintet have been on a consistently upward trajectory, featuring on an eye-popping spread of festival bills this year including SXSW, Coachella, Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, Germany's Hurricane and Southside festivals and a triumphant homeland performance at July's Splendour In The Grass event. Amongst all this wowing of punters by the thousands, they found the time to put in a couple of lauded appearances on US late-night television, on the shows fronted by renowned funnymen Jimmy Kimmel and Carson Daly.

They're barely pausing for breath before kicking off the national sojourn in support of Planet Blue Eyes, too — before it kicks off, the band have another US trip on the horizon in order to promote the record and smash out a headline tour (including performances at Austin City Limits and the Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas) before returning to Australia to support The Rolling Stones. No big deal.
