You'll be hearing all their new tunes on the j's next week

Fans of Sydney indie-pop outfit The Preatures - and triple j listeners - will be hearing a whole lot of the band next week, with the five-piece landing the station's Feature Album.

Their debut LP Blue Planet Eyes, out Friday 26 September via Universal, sees the band embrace their quirky, alternative pop sound that made break-out single Is This How You Feel? one of 2013's catchiest gems.

Several other local acts will also have tracks added to the j's rotation next week, including resurgent rockers Augie March and their track A Dog Starved. Buzz Newtown-based trio DMA's will be hoping So We Know catches on as quickly as breakout hit Delete, while Canberra dance-electro dudes SAFIA will see their new number You Are The One added.

Spot additions will come from Geelong psych-folk rock crew The Frowning Clouds in the shape of their song No Blues and America's Julian Casablancas & The Voids (Where No Eagles Fly) and Vince Staples (Blue Suede).

These additions are as of next Monday 22 September.
