Congrats!
For the third year and amongst hordes of other South Australian accomplishments, Adelaide’s Stingwood Fellowship boasts its victors.
The Hard Aches, Bec Stevens, Flamingo, Mane and West Thebarton Brothel Party are 2016’s deserving fellows.
Named after Adelaide expat and professional Robert Stigwood, the Fellowship aims to foster South Australian musicians and mavericks in the industry.
By providing professional development, global connections, mentorship, and knowledge from songwriting to media releases, bands will cultivate both entrepreneurial and musical skills.

Not only does the Fellowship provide guidance but it also promises invaluable opportunities and exposure.
Examples of this are first year Stigwood Fellowship winner Tkay Maidza earning a UK BET nomination, while second-year indie-pop locals SKIES and abrasive Adeladians the Grenadiers scored slots at the UK’s Great Escape Festival in 2015.
Seven of this year’s fellowships will be awarded the same opportunity (to be showcased at the festival), but it certainly won’t be the limit of possibilities for these musos.
