More Polaris More Polaris

Sydney metalcore outfit Polaris are today announcing they've signed with renowned indie record label, Resist Records.

"It's my great pleasure to welcome Polaris to the Resist family," Resist Records' Graham Nixon said.

"Polaris have been creating a buzz for some time now and we’re honoured to be working with the band."

Band vocalist and bassist, Jake Steinhauser, said of the signing, "We're absolutely stoked to be working with Resist.

"They're one of the best independent labels in this country, they have an amazing history, and they definitely hold a special place for us as one of the first labels we used to dream of working with when we were young and starting a band.

"Between Resist and Cooking Vinyl we couldn’t ask for a better team behind us."

The signing news coincides with the announcement that Polaris are set to re-release their 2016 EP, The Guilt & The Grief, on 10'' vinyl for the first time on 3 March, via Resist Records.

"We've had quite a number of messages from fans asking if we would ever put our stuff out on vinyl, and we'd talked about it ourselves for a really long time, so when Graham suggested it we knew it was absolutely something we had to do," singer, Jamie Hails, said.

Polaris drummer, Daniel Furnari, added, "A couple of us have been building up our vinyl collections over the past couple of years, so finally having our own music on an actual record is something we’re looking forward to a lot.

"I know a lot of our listeners feel similarly so it's great to know that people will be able to own a copy of the record in that format."

As well as the impending vinyl release, Polaris are currently writing their debut album, set to be recorded this year.
