Internet phenomenon and indie star bbno$ (pronounced Baby No Money) will return to Australia and New Zealand this October and November.
Presented by Handsome Tours and Laneway Presents, the Vancouver-born artist, born Alex Gumuchian, returns to Australia after performing at the 2023 Groovin’ The Moo festival and a string of sideshows, which followed his appearances at Listen Out 2022 and Laneway Festival in 2020.
The tour begins at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Friday, 31 October, followed by Perth’s Metro City on Saturday, 1 November, Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Monday, 3 November, Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday, 5 November, and wraps at Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Thursday, 6 November.
Following his Australian dates, the it boy singer and rapper heads to New Zealand for two shows. He’ll perform at Auckland’s Powerstation on Saturday, 8 November, and Wellington’s Meow Nui on Sunday, 9 November.
Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, 2 July, at 11 am local time–sign up here to access those tickets – before the general sale opens on Thursday, 3 July, at 11 am local time. Tickets will be available via the Handsome Tours website.
Reviewing his Sydney show in 2022, The Music’s David James Young remarked, “With a closing run of breakthrough hit lalala and a DJ medley for the ages – Gunther’s Ding Dong Song, the Vengaboys’ Boom Boom Boom Boom, Crazy Frog’s Axel F and Alice DeeJay’s Better Off Alone – you were guaranteed to leave the Factory with a grin plastered across your entire face. It’s not a particularly elaborate show, nor a particularly tight one, but it doesn’t need to be. It just needs to be fun, and rest assured that’s exactly what we got.”
